This is 1.2 kilograms of New Zealand mild steel. Laser cut in our Drury workshop, edges machined smooth, seasoned with food-grade oil and ready to press on day one. No coatings, no springs, no moving parts — just flat thermal mass that forces full contact and does the work.

It will never warp like a cheap press. It will never wear out. Drop it, scrub it, leave it on the stovetop — it gets better with every cook as the seasoning builds. This is the last burger press you'll ever buy, and it'll outlive every pan it sits in.

Not just for burgers. The same slab flattens smash patties to a perfect crust, presses bacon flat, chars halloumi evenly, toasts a sandwich with weight behind it, and finishes a steak sear the way a restaurant would.

Care

Wash with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, wipe with a light coat of oil. That's the whole routine. The surface will darken with use — that's the seasoning, and it's exactly what you want.
